- Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen informed that his country has invited PM Narendra Modi to be a part of 50 years of the country’s independence on March 26, 2021.

- Jammu and Kashmir government launched “My Town My Pride” in Poonch on Monday, with the Secretary to the government speaking to all the councillors and hearing their requests and matters.
- The two-day long programme is being organised in Urban Local Bodies on from October 19 to 20, during which camps for public service delivery are being set up.
- Under ‘My Town My Pride’ program, every Municipal Council will be provided Rs 1 crore to complete the ongoing tasks. The Municipal Committees will also be given Rs 50 lakh each.
- Some of the amount will be used for putting street lights in the city and some for making parking spaces.

- On Tuesday, Rajnath Singh validated the new DRDO Procurement Manual-2020 to start the indigenous Defence Industry and to further its aim of achieving ‘self-reliance’.
